Rabbi Seymour Rosenbloom

Rabbi Seymour Rosenbloom assumed the presidency of JSPAN in May of 2015.  He is the Distinguished Service Rabbi of Congregation Adath Jeshurun, Elkins Park, PA, an honorific title accorded to him upon his retirement on June 30, 2014, after thirty-six years as the congregation’s spiritual leader.
 

Brian Gralnick

Brian Gralnick is a leader in the region’s non-profit sector and has been recognized in various outlets for his impact on both clients and colleagues through his work as Director of the Center for Social Responsibility with Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia. In his professional and volunteer time, he is active with a host of non-profit organizations. His expertise in the field of aging and social services was recognized as he was selected to serve in Governor-elect Tom Wolf’s Transition Team for the Department of Aging, one of the youngest transition team members.

Edward Hoffman

Edward Hoffman, CPA earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, carpooling with George Stern during some of those years to Rodeph Shalom where they served as Sunday School teachers.  Ed is retired from a forensic accounting career at Liberty Mutual Group.  He has served as Treasurer of two Beth Davids – one in Canton, Mass. and the other in Gladwyne, Pa.

Katie R. Beran, Esq.

Katie Beran currently serves as a federal Law Clerk for the Honorable Gerald Austin McHugh in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, where she is heavily involved in the Supervision to Aid Reentry ("STAR") Program.  Katie also works as an Adjunct Professor at Temple University Beasley School of Law in the Federal Reentry Court Clinic, which involves the supervision of legal interns from all area law schools as well as co-teaching a seminar course on reentry.  After the end of her term clerkship in September 2016, Katie will be joining the Philadelphia office of Hausfeld LLP

Joanna Klein, Esq.

Joanna Klein is a Deputy City Solicitor with the City of Philadelphia Law Department.  Joanna earned her J.D. from the College of William & Mary and graduated from Penn State with honors in Political Science and a minor in history.  She has been active in various community service organizations over the years and is committed to public service in both her professional and personal life.  In addition to being a board member of JSPAN, Joanna also currently holds the position of President for the Philadelphia Chapter of the William & Mary Alumni Association.

Marc Stier, Ph.D.

Marc Stier has had an illustrious career as an activist, teacher, and writer. He became Director of the Pennsylvania Budget and Policy Center in 2015.

Jill Katz Zipin, Esq.

Jill Katz Zipin is very involved in community activities, including Woman's Philanthropy of Jewish Federation, Coordinating Council for the Elderly of Jewish Federation, and Woman's Leadership Training Program of Jewish Federation.  She is politically active and has worked on compaigns for Ruth Damsker and Barack Obama.

Jill is a graduate of Temple University where she also earned her law degree.  Her interests include politics, reading, tennis and figure skating.

Lynn Zeitlin, Esq.

It is with much sadness that we record the untimely passing of Lynn Zeitlin, past president of JSPAN, on September 10, 2015.
Her biography clearly demonstrates why she was one of JSPAN's most steadfast, devoted supporters.

Deborah Weinstein, Esq.

 Deborah Weinstein is President of The Weinstein Firm, a boutique employment law firm providing employers with legal guidance, workforce-related consulting, corporate training, internal investigative services and representation in litigation.  For the past 13 years, she has taught employment law in the Legal Studies and Business Ethics Department of The Wharton Business School.
